Using payment @handles
Claim a memorable @handle so people can pay you without an IBAN, and learn how to send by handle.
A payment handle is a short, memorable username — like @michael — that people can use to pay you instead of copying your IBAN.
Claim your handle
You can claim a handle during onboarding, or any time from Settings → Payment handle. Handles are unique, 3–20 characters, and can contain letters, numbers, and underscores.
Send money by handle
- Open Send.
- Enter a recipient's
@handleand tap Look up. - Confirm the resolved name, enter an amount, and send.
Request money by handle
When you create a payment request, your @handle is shown on the public payment page so the sender knows exactly who they're paying.
Tip: a clear, recognizable handle reduces mistakes and builds trust when you ask to be paid.
